Every few weeks we gotta make posts like this”call your dem reps to tell them to not vote to allow Lord Killdude to shove people into a volcano” and then the dem reps go “we’ve made an amazing deal where Lord Killdude can have his volcano so long as he promises not to shove people into it”

there’s this really dumb idea among the brain dead liberal punditocracy that you shouldn’t even mention ICE but nah this guy ran aggressively against them in a purple center/center-right county and won.
NEW: Dems easily flipped the sheriff's office in Pennsylvania's Bucks County, a big swing county in the Philly suburbs.
So? The incumbent GOP sheriff had contracted with ICE. His Dem challenger promised to end the contract.
Now he wants other swing-state Dems to look at his victory as a lesson:

Voters Ousted This Pennsylvania Sheriff After He Signed Up to Collaborate With ICE - Bolts
A populous, swing county replaced its GOP sheriff on Tuesday after months of controversy over his joining ICE’s 287(g) program. The Democratic winner promises he’ll end the contract.

Just noticed on an old VHS that Robert Patrick was wearing a NIN shirt when he was 3D scanned for the T-1000. That would have been 1990, so he was proudly supporting his brother Richard Patrick, who was in a new band called Nine Inch Nails at the time.

I'm in Detroit. It's 25 degrees & dropping. I met a woman who has slept outside for 5 months. Yesterday, all of her belongings, incl her blankets, were thrown away. She has nowhere else to go.
It doesn't have to be like this. Housing + support solves homelessness. We need political will.

real time/in game betting should be flat out illegal, full stop.
this should be obvious to anyone who cares about the sport and isn’t just trying to squeeze every single cent out of it and …oh, I see

if you’re old like me I want you to hmu with your memories of the really awful local sports columnist/terrible MVP or HOF takes in the replies
in my day MVP discussions happened once in a column in your local newspaper in October. the columnist’s takes were worse than almost anything you could possibly see on Bluesky. You got angry for a few hours, maybe took a brisk walk around the block, and then forgot all about it. those were the days.

Read every word & share with everyone you know. This is real life here in Chicago. Americans need to know this grotesque reality & stand with us.
