Gonna print this out and stick it to my wall every time a person says that "the market will crash" or "innovation will be stifled" because of the smallest tax increase for the wealthy.

Imagine: 7 years developing a rich narrative universe, complex character arcs, millions of readers, never monetizing it — then 20 years on no one remembers it because it was just a Sprite Comic.

The victory of progressive candidates is a byproduct of our work caring for one another and building a better world, not the goal of our work.

I'm ecstatic over Zohran's election, but I agree, and people need to prepare for how much opposition there will be from the machine.

Being very vocal and organized for the policies (less the politician) is VERY important, otherwise Zohran will just be this century's John Purroy Mitchel.
Zohran's success will hinge equally on what he is ABLE to do and how effectively he messages to voters when the federal govt of wealthy interests / police, etc in NYC deliberately sabotage things.

we've seen this shit in oregon with elites lining up to torpedo progressive measures
The full weight of western capitalism is about to laser focus on NYC. The robber barons failed to win and will panic. They will sabotage NYC because the system cannot allow Mamdani's term to be successful. They cannot allow people to believe things can be better. Your job now is to hold the line.

My former proximity to this one moment of ICE barbarism is not the point—the point is they’re enacting violence all over the city. It’s like nothing I’ve seen before.

Logan Square neighborhood, Chicago. Man wearing a balaclava in a white, unmarked vehicle, pulls the pin on a tear gas canister and tosses it in the road.

Fills me with rage. I drove past here every day for 4 years. I hope these pathetic cowards never get another moment of sleep as long as they live.
Witness video shared to Facebook shows feds swiftly grabbing someone off the street at Lawrence and Kedzie this morning and putting them in an unmarked car. Locals know this is a busy intersection, the beating heart of Albany Park:

the federal government has spent millions in recent years on launchers and chemical projectiles like the ones agents are now using to brutalize protesters.

You will not be surprised to learn that Bovino did in fact describe racially profiling people.

@schumer.senate.gov Resign and take your ineffectual opposition with you.
Asked what he would do to stop the deployment of federal troops to Portland, Chuck Schumer replies: "I'd hope some of them [Republicans] would join us in legislation to prevent it from happening."

"I know they're loyal to Trump and does whatever he wants but this is so far stepping over the line"

This might be totally asinine, but I feel like the majority of musicians in my community have embraced more traditional concepts and form over the last few years (self included), and I wonder how much of that is a unconscious reaction to the political times vs us growing older and more knowledgable.
