We still have no idea who the ICE agents are. They could be insurrectionists, extremist militiamen or criminals themselves, chasing law-abiding citizens down the street for recording their kidnappings. The odds they aren't are low. “The US did not attend” - again this feels like a failing of the Democrats. While an official administration delegation was obviously not going to attend it sure feels like an opposition party representing a majority of US citizens would have been a welcome group. Go anyway. Make a spectacle of it.
Hooray that the big UN ocean summit this week made some progress. The two biggest ocean scandals (of many) still continue: the horribly destructive practice of bottom trawling still happens, and many Marine Protected Areas still allow fishing. More work needed!

I have felt significantly less safe at gas stations in states with little to no gun laws full of angry white dudes just waiting for an excuse than I’ve ever felt on The T or any other public transit.
