Every time I see conservative fearmongering about how dangerous the NYC subway is, I feel the need to defend it. I grew up in Ohio. It’s cars that are dangerous. It’s car accidents that are terrifyingly common. I’m not being dramatic when I say the subway is one of the best parts of my life now.

The New York City subway is probably under-appreciated in the context of American urbanism. It carries 53% of all LRT/Heavy Rail riders in the country. So that's more than every other rapid transit service in the country combined.

I know that you, @schumer.senate.gov and @kirstengillibrand.bsky.social , have plenty of similar stories & pleas to share from your constituents, too—adding your voice to this filibuster to keep it going would be a GREAT start to participating in a real opposition party alongside @booker.senate.gov!
