Trump: "Christians and more, think of this, more than twice as likely foster care they'll adopt the general population. They adopt to it so easily. When they get out, they adopt to it like it's become second nature. It's amazing."

So, are these the "concepts of a plan" he was promising on healthcare since *checks watch* 2017? Just give (some) money to individuals and let them sort it out themselves? That's the plan? The whole of the plan?
Trump: "THE ONLY HEALTHCARE I'LL SUPPORT OR APPROVE IS SENDING MONEY DIRECTLY BACK TO THE PEOPLE W/ NOTHING GOING TO THE BIG, FAT, RICH INSURANCE COMPANIES, WHO HAVE RIPPED OFF AMERICA LONG ENOUGH. THE PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED TO NEGOTIATE & BUY THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, INSURANCE. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!"

If he had used a different term, this would still be an MP saying they don’t want too many non-white people in their area.

I know it’s just how everything works, but I think it’s fascinating that him using the wrong term is treated as a bigger problem than the actual sentiment behind it.

Blockchain! Remember blockchain? Why has nobody pitched putting an AI in your blockchain? You could burn the planet while burning the planet and the AI will let you talk to your ape.
I don't know why everybody is so worried about the AI bubble bursting. If it does we can simply reinflate the bubble with words like "quantum computing" and "superintelligence" and "sentient electric toothbrushes"

Oh, please tell me Thiel has done a Softbank and taken all his money out of one of the few companies involved in this mad AI boom that actually produces anything physical and sells it for a profit, in order to double down by re-investing it in one of the snake-oil salesmen?
NEW: Peter Thiel has blinked. Yesterday, I posted an article about the "Great AI Bubble". And today, we find out that he's bailed on the market.

Has he cut & run? Or is this some 3-D chess-type voodoo? Thoughts please.

What the Labour Party used to understand was that it wasn’t that immigration was tearing the country apart, but that immigration was what was holding the country together. Immigration kept our NHS going, our transport system going, our education and much more.

It’s still true. They must know it.

Listening to Steve Reed explain on the radio today that he can't say what Mahmood's plan means for kids of people who give birth after they've been granted asylum because that's a hypothetical Q govt can't be expected to answer right now made me think these reforms are going to unravel quite fast

You will be shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, to hear that the proposed "way to win people back" is ... promoting the world's most bland corporate mission statement.

Honestly, the chart gives the impression that the July 2024 Labour support was the natural level of Labour support. It really wasn't.
Our voter coalition is fracturing. But we *can* win them back.

Read this 🧵 and article to find out how

1) We've lost half our vote - 20% to Green/Lib Dem, 20% to Don't Know, and 10% to Reform

We need to get *all* these voters back. And we can.

labour having an absolute shocker, as predicted by pretty much everybody. we aren't headed anywhere good on this trajectory
Lots of Labour MPs asking Mahmood tonight to rule out child detention. She won’t rule it out. That’s because forced removals of families will mean children in detention for periods.

Home Office ruling out deportation of lone minors but the changes will certainly mean more detention of children.

The absolute state of this…

Someone needs to tell Starmer that no matter how much his government kicks the poor, the weak and the vulnerable the fascists aren’t going to love him

But the rest of us who would have supported a Labour government are never going to forgive him
