"They voted for this." Well. 22% of the US population checked Trump/Vance on their ballot. What they thought they were voting for actually varies, thanks to propaganda/misinformation/disinformation/shitty newspapers.

It's turning out that those who didn't vote for *this* actually don't like it.

Under President Trump, the EPA will stop considering lives saved when setting pollution limits and instead calculate only the cost to businesses. It’s counter to the agency’s mission statement, which says has a core responsibility to protect human health and the environment. nyti.ms/3Loch27

Anything less than abolishing ICE is unacceptable. I don't want to hear people talk about training these motherfuckers or throwing more money at them. The entire institution needs to be permanently disbanded. Do not let politicians sell you on anything less.

After what they’ve done to the innocuous phrase “diversity, equity & inclusion” (DEI) I truly hope you can see that they will always distort our words.
I think we could have had our cake and ate it too by saying "Reform the Police."

Same implicit message, but harder for adversaries to twist it.

Right. The point is not “it matters extra because it’s a citizen,” the point is “we either hang together or we will all hang separately.”
i think it is ok to reiterate that the victim as a us citizen. yes, noncitizens are equally entitled to human rights. but also, it's important to illustrate how ice isn't about immigration at all

Reminder that the head of the NIH is an economist who has never conducted NIH-funded research, spent years doing paid speaking engagements for far-right extremist groups, & is best known for a study where he committed serious ethical violations & ended up wrong by greater than an order of magnitude.
I wouldn't describe Jay as "man in the middle" unless I were making sort of human centipede analogy.

This is a wildly unethical study that would be illegal to conduct in the United States. Have you heard of the Tuskegee experiments (crimes against humanity)? This sounds like that.

85% of CEOs are white men.

All but one US President has been a white man.

65% of all elected offices are held by white men.

Roughly 30% of the population is white men.
