This is a real shame. A Wider Bridge did tremendously important work, and despite being the regular target of frankly conspiratorial slanders centered around "pinkwashing", was absolutely committed to walking the progressive walk.

This is a real shame. A Wider Bridge did tremendously important work, and despite being the regular target of frankly conspiratorial slanders centered around "pinkwashing", was absolutely committed to walking the progressive walk.

Kennedy was a war hero- he fought in WW2, saved fellow sailors which left him with serious injuries. He earned the Navy and Marine Corps Medal.
He served as a Senator and as a beloved President. He was murdered while on duty. He loved the arts and the Kennedy Center was intended to honor him.

People obsessively defend the most noxious ethnonationalist slogans of the anti-Israel camp because they enjoy forcing Jews to tolerate them, not because they have some magical effect towards Palestinian liberty. They add no votes, no money, no bullets.

What's going on with that post is how many Gentiles respond to the Israel/Palestine cause in miniature: "I have adopted the Correct Stances that make you a Good person, how DARE you tell me to speak judiciously?" It's adopting the cause for the moral clout to abuse others, not sincere passion.

It is genuinely incredible how arrogant Gentiles are in lecturing Jews about how we're liars and ignorant about our own experiences.
I'll say it again: if any other ethnic or religious minority said "please don't use this particular term or chant, you might not have bad intentions but it is deeply racist and threatening to us", the reaction would be mortified apology.
