If I'm understanding this correctly, the man who shot two national guards in DC was a former Afghan child soldier who fought alongside US special forces and in a CIA-supervised unit and later was granted asylum. The word "blowback" comes to mind.

Trump says he wants to stop the flow of money to insurance companies by giving the money to consumers so they can give it to insurance companies but without the government's ability to negotiate affordable premiums. There must be an alternate universe somewhere in which this makes sense.

When a politician says: we’ll deregulate health insurance and send you a “freedom account” check, ask: freedom to buy what? If insurers don’t offer real policies or can cherry-pick only healthy people, that money is a coupon for a store that’s not open.
