They should turn the Epstein Files into a game like Wordle, where you can type words over the redactions and see how many letters you've got right. Although admittedly Wordle doesn't have the same five-letter word as the answer every time.

it might seem surprising that the people who said “look, let trans people live their lives, but i have Reasonable Concerns about sports and toilets” aren’t up in arms about this, but what you have to remember is that those people who said that are liars who were lying

What an absolute (nuclear) blast that was! If you missed it, I was on BBC Breakfast at around 8.40am talking about nuclear war - check it out on iPlayer! A huge thank you to Sally Nugent, Jon Kay, and the entire team.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance. Since 31st October 2024, at least 340 trans people have lost their lives to anti-trans violence, or suicide. Transphobia kills. Please be an ally every day. tdor.translivesmatter.info/reports?from...

Maybe I’m being naive (or possibly naïf), but I’d like to think that if my net worth was $80m, I would think carefully about which projects I lent my name to. And, when challenged about it, I wouldn’t come up with some nonsense about being unaware and about how we should all just accept transphobia.

I've been getting back into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series after many years, and the most relatable part is how everyday objects like doors and elevators have been imbued with artificial intelligence and it just makes them obnoxious and frustrating to use and everyone hates it.

Rewatching Ghostwatch. Still a very impressive piece of work. Showing it to a newbie: it's suspenseful and scary even to someone born just in the last decade and knows full well it isn't 'real'.

If you want to push back against tech's encroachment into every corner of our lives, you have to read books. They're eager to create a future in which most people are illiterate and hooked on slop, a world without imagination or knowledge. Reading is resistance.

It's October, which means it's time to test some films on the teenager. The Birds: verdict - 7/10 for entertainment, 2/10 for scariness. 'How did they get those birds to stay still the end?"

Dismayed by the "I loathe Gl**ner but his arrest should scare us all" takes. The bar for arrest over a social media post *should be extremely high*, but a guy who's harassed trans people 19 hours a day for 8 years, telling his 600k fans to attack any trans women they see, clears that bar v easily?

I firmly believe that the fascists will fail - eventually, yes, and yes, after doing huge damage - because they have mistaken the kindness of too many people they hate for weakness. Their underestimation of the “woke” as weak will be their undoing. I am convinced of that.

There's the famous saying 'never make your hobby your job because you'll hate what you enjoy' but it needs more detail, like how if you work from home you will hate your home and be skin crawlingly desperate to go out/burn it to the ground to not sit at your desk.
