I look back so happy my parents ticked these boxes. There was no limit on what I could read, so it was always fun. No “that might be too hard” or “that’s a bit baby-ish” or stopping pre-teen me borrowing my dad’s graphic murder mystery holiday book because I’d finished all mine.
In this Year of Reading, a gentle reminder:

Today I got around to opening up my Christmas presents From Me To Me. I’ve been lovely to myself! 😁
It mostly means putting aside any bits bought from October-ish onwards, but is also an excuse to treat yourself e.g. fancy socks.

Vodka+sparkling = Russian Spring! The recipe offers just a smidge of the liqueurs. I would probably double the amounts of them…
