Also, I'm going to try something new - do you want a professional actor to read your short story for posterity or promotion, or something else? Send me your short story, I'll record it to professional standard and deliver it digitally all for pretty much a day's NMW!

It's real! Paul Vanezis has done the scanning which bodes well for it *not* being full of AI slop! Ok now I'm excited!

Note to self. If I ever set up a studio, I cannot call it "Clifford Studio" as the name is already taken. And I do not want to cause confusion. I very very VERY much do not want to cause confusion

Saw a post about that idiotic moment in Prometheus where the space worm invites the scientists to fuck off and they don't.

For a long time I have shouted "Stick your head in it!" at scenes like this, due to a Bill Baggs video featuring the rather too-close examination of a Nestene sphere.

Oh blimey. But will they have finally cracked getting hold of the original elements and scanning and restoring and rebuilding the effects only to fuck them with AI after?

Is it true, and definitely not just a crappy AI upscale?

WOULD BUY IF NOT FUCKED WITH AI

Great thing about U & Drama: they just showed Genesis of the Daleks Episode 6 and then went to Pyramids of Mars 1, and even though they're not consecutive, that's a fucking great hour of tv and a half

Not so great thing about U & Drama - they've looped back to Genesis 3 now. Why?

Slow on the BF as I get easily distracted on the bus listening to them and don't get my dog walks any more. Enjoyed The Sontarans, a very good idea and performed nicely. The Heliax Rift was technically fine but didn't grab me, missing something. Midway through Hour of the Cybermen now, better.

Spent the day focussing on catching up on my Moho course (last week was more complicated and coincided with getting some much needed work, plus some much needed socializing) but it's been a nice distraction after the sad news yesterday. This is a work in progress before smoothing and clean up

I am calling the cat Hob, which is an old northern term for a household spirit - something that goes bump in the night (see: hobgoblin, hob hole).

It was a diminutive of Robin/Robert; I love the use of the mundane name to try to render the unknowable domestic. What is that, if not a cat?

In Peel Cathedral for The War of the Worlds. Just watched a man leaning over the candles sorting out a packet of new candles and tapped my friend on the shoulder to say "that man's leaning over those candles so close he'll set his hair on fire if he's not careful" AND THEN HE DID

I know different writers are different, but I find it strange when someone's books spiral to 300,000+ words because no-one will edit them. I've never yet hit 100,000 with one of mine and would worry I was boring people, as I'd probably be boring myself by that stage.

You know you've made it as an author when no one will properly edit you, and your books are now shit.

I have two personas: with my mates I'm a laddish, in my job I'm posh & corporate. It came to a head at a charity ball. I was there with work, & mates there with their work. Had to Mrs Doubtfire it, one minute I'm "hello you cunt", the next I'm "that's a fine Sauvignon, Karen"

My name is Michelle and my husband has called me Shellbow for the 20 years we've been together. We had an argument last year and I said I hate it and never call me again. He hasn't and I didn't know how much I'd miss it. I can't ask him to start again as it wouldn't be the same.

28 Days Later: The Bone Palace. A Moho animator is one of the only survivors of a zombie apocalypse...

Don't move the layer, move the bone. Don't move the layer, move the bone. And if you can't make it work by moving the bone, shift the points. Still don't move the layer. Bone, not layer. #Moho

I remember seeing this on telly 1986 when the broadcast had been been exactly timed so that the female nudity would occur at exactly 9.01pm.
