We're calling for submissions to the Black Archive from disabled authors and authors of colour, who we know have been underrepresented in the range.

Please spread this as widely as you can, as we want it to reach as many eligible authors as possible. Thank you.

Far away from Wales and with not a sheep to be seen, they make do with what they can, I suppose

All research implied that Chapman was a powerfully heterosexual man, and yet here - photographic evidence that he privately enjoyed two large, thick, substantial Dicks in the bedroom

Long deadlines are sometimes a bit deceptive. Recorded some auditions over a week ago but didn't edit or render them because of other things I had to do. Then thought, well, kit can come to the Isle of Man with me, with a bit of thought. And then got scared it might not have survived. So far, ok.

27 years ago today, my friend Neil and I visited a film collector to follow up a rumour that he possibly had a lost episode of Doctor Who. The rest is history.

Finally managed to get my phone to connect to the Sure network instead of Manx Telecom which gives *vastly* better signal at my mum's. Think I had someone argue this last year saying it was all the same tech so should be the same. But it blatantly isn't.

Hi, I'm a large metal tent peg, a marquee frame, and possibly a tree during Storm Katie at Hever Castle in 2016

I am a little bit distressed to discover that Vinted doesn't work on the Isle of Man because apparently Evri are shit

Other Lives is sort of fine. I remember the opening scenes VERY well for some reason; visualising my old room from twenty years ago, which is odd as I’m not sure it’s a classic. There’s some nice ideas and some edgy 90s/00s “this is Who for adults” bits. Carnavale vibes.

Much as Mrs Brown’s Boys was a crime against television, there was a good Dave Allen tribute on Channel 5 last night - possibly the same one that was on over Christmas or New Year last year, but even so… once again demanding a complete Dave Allen DVD set.

Do I have Isle of Man friends on here? If I do, I’m obviously around for coffee, or something stronger, or indeed, something weaker.

Arrived on the Isle of Man just in time, it seems (lateish last night, but not intolerably so, and very kindly picked up by lovely friends and godson). Woken up to find out the airport is now closed. I imagine they’ll take in the roads soon.

Plight of the Pimpernel: some very nice performances and lots of good stuff for Colin and Nicola to do, although I did feel like it stopped for very extensive exposition quite often. Some of the later stories in general do this. Might have preferred more piecemeal revelations and discovery.

I know you think I hate on Mrs Brown's Boys from a smug middle class position of never actually watching it and just riding a wave of opinion but the price I'm paying for a nice dinner was having to watch an episode of it and by God, it's dogshit. Glad the dinner was nice.

Waiting for the Isle of Man gate. If I'm to do a poo in three different countries within 24 hours, things will have to work quickly. May have to settle for just wees.

There are quite a few dilletante dickheads at both airports today. I suppose it is NYD to be fair but fucking about instead of taking your seat on the plane or fucking about in the way of gates does *slightly* grind one's gears.

Dutch people in non Dutch spaces must announce loudly and clearly that they are Dutch for their security and happiness, and also possibly mating rituals

Cheerful Dutch gentleman ENORMOUSLY happy to have a piss in the loo along the corridor. Much to the bemusement of people either side of him (one of them, me) who were simply mildly pleased. Saw him again and he gave a thumbs up. I shouted "fijne dag".
