I was searching BlueSky for messages about the Bad Bunny Super Bowl show and this was among the results. Imagine reading it and thinking it's about the rapper. "They love chewing bush" seemed like a very strange way of being racist about Puerto Ricans...

OH DEAR LORD.

(If you're unfamiliar with the work of Lee & Herring, then I'm sorry, I can't explain how funny this is. But no, Anthony Hopkins didn't write that.)

There should be an SI unit for the amount of work you do while you're trying to avoid the work you're supposed to be doing.

I was enjoying Genesis on "Top of the Pops" until I realised I was watching BBC2.

No, when he says "bang Agong", he's talking about getting it on with the King of Malaysia.

This is how they get you hooked. They give you the first knicker for free, but then you have to pay over the odds to get the second one and make a pair.

Ernest Rutherford Fellowships should rebrand as The Ernest Rutherford Fellowships. Then they'd be called TERFs and the government might fund them by mistake.
I’m guessing even less ERFs are gonna be given out. Thank god the UK government are putting £2 billion into their “AI for Science Strategy” instead of directly funding scientists…

The fact that it's called "Grok" means Charles Manson is now only the second-worst person to have been inspired by "Stranger in a Strange Land".

Columbo is America's Doctor Who. He's only attached to a militaristic organisation like the LAPD because he's been exiled to Earth.
On one hand, Columbo is a police lieutenant, which is bad. On the other hand, Columbo makes more sense if you view him not as a cop but as some sort of supernatural entity, like a fey

There's a new game on #Gladiators called "Everest". You'd think this would be about climbing, but no, it literally looks like an advert for double glazing. Ted Moult would never have got up to these shenanigans.

Imagine your embryo scaled up massively, and you are floating in the amniotic cavity.

The only way I can explain is by demonstration, but since I have nothing against you, I won't.

There are currently at least two car adverts on TV that look like this, and every time I see one, I flinch.

Reading "The Veil of Astellar" by Leigh Brackett (1944). First paragraph of chapter one, and already I have questions.

The Homelander's really let himself go.
Can’t believe this is really the cover art for Morrissey’s new album, but it really is. Quite amusing, I suppose.

@sarhbear222.bsky.social Oh yeah? Well, I like strong gay robot women.

Admittedly i can't think of any examples, but there are probably some in anime.
