Highmark / Bluecross kicked 150,000 seniors and disabled people off their Medicare Advantage Plan. The replacement plans are more expensive with less coverage. Wait times on the phone are 5+ hours. They had to contract brokers to handle the increased volume. Mine found me a better and cheaper plan 💖

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

I wonder if the people who espouse "Christian values" realize just how many branches there are. Do you mean Gnostic Christian? Catholic? Protestant? Lutheran? You're gonna have to narrow it down quite a bit to make a compelling argument.

at one point I contemplated doing one of those "console challenges" where you play every game for a given console and decided to research the PS1 library.
I have come to the conclusion I would've needed to have started about 10 years ago to have had any real shot at completing it before I died.

So I've had to say to myself: "listen here you little shit, everyone starts somewhere. You made a game where you open boxes, you can make a simple shmup. Take your time, but see it through."

Too many to name, but @docseuss.bsky.social in particular always makes me think when I read one of his pieces. I like that. I like thinking more deeply about games I play and the work that goes into them. Support Doc if you can. Give the man a budget!
