i think a lot of people need to internalize the fact that yes, the social validation of getting lots of likes on your posts feels nice but it doesn't inherently convert into anything Real

i really cannot overstate how much better my experience is on bluesky simply because i can turn off quoting on my posts. it became such a source of stress on twitter that any random thought i posted could get picked up by people outside my circle wanting to argue or just mock me and the way i talk

Had an interaction over Christmas that sounds insanely fake but for some reason my family was talking about gender, normal subject and my elder grandma says "where was all this trans business when I was in school"
So I pulled up a graph of left handed population by year and was like "I can explain"

It's amazing that I've played Spyro 1 through probably close to ten times and not one of those times have I ever intuitively understood what to do in Tree Tops. I always get confused and die like 12 times experimenting

I don't really care to analyse this and that about engagement and metrics and curating your own feeds when it comes to bluesky vs twitter, the main thing is that using bluesky doesn't make me feel mentally ill because the user base isn't constantly combative for no reason
