apparently you can't monetize uploads of Operation Raccoon City on youtube because capcom USA claims the cutscenes calling them "Reuben"??

i get that platform holders continue to try as hard as they possibly can to manufacture consent for an all-digital future and the Switch 2 in particular is trying very hard on this front but still, I insist on making them work for it. The games that don't work without a download are a minority.

The ratio is actually even *better* on the Switch? The number of games that do not run at all without a day 1 update or internet connection is actually an extreme minority?

It's one of those things where it's hard to get an "official" source because Capcom is so bad at acknowledging legacy media their own website literally doesn't list any Resi game prior to REMake as even existing lol

Someone did some work lately on replicating the complicated ways irem worked the PS2 hardware on games like Steambot Chronicles and Raw Danger that emulation doesn't currently get right and the before and after is quite striking.

like it actually sounds to me like the reviewer understands how Dynasty Warriors works perfectly fine and just doesn't find it particularly interesting even at the best of times? Which like. What of it. Professional game critique is not an exercise in pleasing existing fans lol.
