Modern right wing spaces function very similar to rural Alberta culture. The general assumption is that everyone is racist, everyone is Christian, everyone hates those darn immigrants/queers/etc. Especially if you look the wight way.
A big part of the current right wing belief system is that everyone is actually just as bigoted as they are, and are only pretending not to be as a public performance ("virtue signalling").

As a trans woman in rural AB, it's true. The people here are so full of hatred for anyone different that it has rotted their morality and reasoning abilities. Yes there's tons of foreign interference but it's meeting fertile ground of idiocy, religion, and hatred.

NOEM IS LYING. I have seen people get taken! It was the same each time: armed men racing out of a blacked-out SUV, seizing a screaming or fleeing pedestrian, and pulling them into the car without any attempt to even learn their identity. Always a person alone on the street. Always a person of color.

The "ICE is using military tactics suited for a warzone, not for American streets" rhetoric kinda misses the point that warzones are not naturally occuring. The US military creates war zones from residential neighborhoods and the tactics are not more justifiable just because it's overseas
