I intend to read this as pigs have been (successfully?) using WWII military strategies against us for 50,000 years. Do not correct me, thank you.

I appreciate how the extended media for Legends of the Galactic Heroes depicts the second, third, and fourth battles of Tiamat; all of which are significant while simultaneously inconsequential to the main action of the series. It rules that they can just number them off like that tbh.

“Someone got canceled on BlueSky for saying that the oil Trump is trying to steal from Venezuela is sludge” sounds like a joke people on X would tell about BlueSky, and yet it actually happened
I find it hard to square the preciousness about "why would someone ever stay on Twitter?" when everyone on this site knows that the community here intentionally chased off lots of people.

a better way to phrase this is they preferred spending time on the csam app rather than getting too much random abuse for posting ordinary research
Lots of people tried to reconstruct the ML/AI/stats community over here. 90% of them left because the random abuse they got for just posting ordinary research results was too much.

tv shows should do what sports broadcasts do and thank new audiences that are just now joining them. every five minutes, all the actors should look at the screen, introduce themselves and their characters, and announce which of them is winning the show
