🧵I've known the tariffs were stupid from the beginning, but this time, as they say, it's personal. I typically eat a pound of pasta a week, sometimes more. I will be able to afford the price increase, but it will remain a stupid idea, and I know that not everyone will be able to do so.
So my son eats a bowl of Barilla Penne pasta for dinner every night. He eats it plain - no butter, no oil, a little salt in the water. It's what he likes. Like blueberries, which I covered in May, we're concerned with what it means that access to some of the things he relies on may be difficult.

Pinning this again:
Do not use milk, juice, urine, antacids, baking soda on pepper spray or tear gas. Just water. Plain water..
Optical saline ok in eyes, but maybe save it for the dumbasses who wore contact lenses.
Plain soap or shampoo ok on skin, but never in eyes.

This would be stupider than Iraq.
And even though the GOP controls Congress, Trump is gonna try to do this without Cong. authorization, and the Mike Johnson cowards will let him.

As a Pennsylvanian, and a historian, and, y’know, a decent person with a brain, this fucking sucks.
Evidently there was an Auschwitz-themed float in a Halloween parade in Pennsylvania.
The float was for a Catholic school, and to their credit the church immediately disavowed it.
Thing is, I don’t think high school kids did this entirely on their own. I’m guessing parents had to be involved.
