There’s a big difference between *looking* like you oppose the Republicans and actually opposing the Republicans.
Politico reporting that Schumer's plan is for Dems to vote for cloture in exchange for the chance to vote on amendments THAT THEY KNOW WILL FAIL (threshold for amdts is 60). Then Rs can pass the House-passed CR with or w/o Dems, who will pretend that they opposed it.
