I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Nasma. Nasma and his wife Umm have 3 children, Razan, 2, Abdul, 6 and Muhammad, 13. Muhammad has injuries to both intestines from a blast. They are trying to care for him in a tent and to provide for his medication, particularly for pain.

If we can "avoid a government shutdown" by voting for this CR, then why is the entire Department of Education closed today? Why is USAID closed? Why are hundreds of billions in grant contracts frozen?

When liberals adopt far right positions, it does not make them more attractive to the right, it instead communicates to the right that they were correct to support their far right candidates who haven't waffled on these issues like liberals

Today is the 35th anniversary of the Capitol Crawl, in which disabled activists discarded their mobility aids at the foot of the Capitol steps to climb them in support of passage of the Americans with Disabilities Ac. Jennifer Keelan-Chaffins, 8, told reporters "I'll take all night if I have to!"

These people are the reason I am able to live on my own and have a job today.
I submitted a short story to a literary journal and got a rejection with positive feedback. But I guess I deleted it instead of saving and now I can't remember which press it was! I am absolutely frozen afraid I'm going to send out the same story (with edits!) to the same press like a rube.

So pleased to know that I hated Gavin Newsom the first time I saw his face. I am not suprised by any of this. He's a smarmy opportunist (at best).
