If it makes you feel any better it also sucked a lot and the buses that replaced it were better than it
The fact that Minneapolis had a better public transit system in fucking 1913 is maybe the best argument against capitalism of all time.

if you watch videos of indian trains its pretty decent electrification and seemingly decently well maintained tracks with the worlds worst quality vehicles and also covered in garbage

Almost certainly Seattle. Population went from 600k->800k, the city went from no rail system to a top-10 busiest network, region became an absolute economic powerhouse, there’s a total transformation of the waterfront, and so much more

I've never understood the numbering of platforms in French railway stations (letters, numbers, sometimes not in order)
And now I have watched a video about it... and I understand even less

I've never understood the numbering of platforms in French railway stations (letters, numbers, sometimes not in order)

TWU needs to be put in its place. it cannot stop the MTA from improving efficiency it should be focusing on benefits for its members, not needlessly sucking money out of the MTA for make work jobs

something I've been thinking about if/when we retake power is we're really going to need to shock & awe the elites with accountability. hit em hard and fast. gotta break the entire system and don't give it time to regroup.
Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed
