What would the endgame have been had the Dems extended the shutdown? Is the hope the Reps and Trump would fold on Obamacare subsidies? I haven't heard it articulated.

things take time to percolate but truly the weirdest shit keeps percolating and resonating. I interviewed a super normie at no kings last time and he had a sign joking about being antifa and the number one thing he was mad about off the top of his head was venezuelan boat strikes

More fun with Trumpy numbers.

He's floated sending $2,000 checks to every household, "except rich ones," whatever that means, financed by tariff revenues.

It would cost $265 billion. Tariff revenue since Liberation Day has totaled $151 billion.

Bit of a shortfall.

This is good
I've noticed that there isn't much talk here about the current internecine war that is unfolding on the right, spearheaded in large part by Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I know this shit is insane and feels bad. But this is a mistake (1/)

I missed this when it came out in July but it's quite good. Though John Carney is on the right in some sense, he used to subscribe to my newsletter, and this piece is quite sound, as we used to say in the Party of the Right.
