Got a new job! It’s part-time, definitely gonna be a pay cut, will most likely have to get a second job to compensate, but it’s closer to home and hopefully way less stressful than my current job. Now I just gotta make it through the next two weeks until my last day of work at the current job.

Lately I’ve been falling back on playing a lot of Pokemon as a way to feel a scrap of something other than crushing despair and anger. I’ve especially been reliving my Gen 3 nostalgia—so I thought some of y’all might like to hear some of the misconceptions kid me had about this game!

At this point I’m barely dragging myself through work days and eating and sleeping about half of what I used to. Earliest they could schedule me to see my doctor is the 13th, so best I can do rn is find things that help me get through and try not to worry myself into another doom spiral. 🫠

Here to report that this morning I finally got frustrated enough to contact Google support so they would let me turn off Gemini and it was very easy and took three minutes, they're clearly used to this by now

To instrumentalize what my sister is saying below: every time someone says DEI say “you mean civil rights?” Every time someone says they are against woke reply “oh so you’re a segregationist!” Words have meaning! Don’t allow that nonsense to stand.
Only saying once on bsky b/c I know it is not entirely useful, but it is totally exhausting that in 2016 some of us said “they’re Nazis,” some of us screamed “they’re segregationists,” and a whole lot of very serious people now posting about them being Nazis and segregationists gaslight us for years
