Buying books this Christmas? I am and I'm not using Amazon. Billionaire Bezos can get in the bin.

Use your local bookshop or @bookshop.org

Every brush stroke is full of doubt and struggle but I managed to get half-way through this painting without rage quitting! Yay. A piece for an upcoming colonial Canada-era Call of Cthulhu scenario.

It’s funny to watch people be mad at South Park: conservatives who wrongly thought it was “on their side”, and liberals who take it too personally. I’m a big-ass socialist/green and I find the show hilarious. Parker & Stone are just assholes who will be mean to anybody, and that’s why I like it.

Me: Hey Gemini, what is the absolute worst possible example for an AI prompt to encourage people to use you?
Gemini: How about outsourcing human connection and gratitude, while abrogating involvement in a child's education?
Me: Nailed it.

I lit most of the Inquisition romance scenes while sitting in a corner of the PopCap office that was mostly filled with EA publishing people. they tried very hard to ignore me.
Shout out to my BioWare and Frostbite cinematic people. We were helping BioWare make the game and we would get bugs like “camera flicker in post climactic scene”. We would wonder “what does post climactic mean?” We would boot the game and start the repro steps. And then “Oh. Right. Of course”.

Oh so THAT’s why that book has got all kinds of contradictory stories and disconnected narrative! It’s because Doc is old and can’t remember well 🤣🤣

Happy birthday Doc! Love you!

I’m sad to hear that “Poker Face” is cancelled. It was a semi-misguided homage to Columbo, with “investigation” parts that were often pretty short and disappointing, but the characters and dialogues were always top-notch.

Peacock is letting the show go, but it could come back at another outlet with Peter Dinklage replacing Natasha Lyonne.

My current art process is to make a sketch, be decently happy with it, start painting it, find it ugly as fuck, try to paint it again, find it even uglier, then rage quit and just ink it in black and white. I just don’t understand colour.

Straight talk #TTRPG creators: #Patreon was once an ideal spot. It is now a convoluted, pre-sale-to-vulture-captial mess. When it's not randomly changing policies that cut my audience to ribbons, it's adding idiotic process heavy pop-ups that do nothing.

Use Ghostio instead. Here's ours:

Carney keeps announcing “national-interest” major projects but they’re still all private industrial projects. Nothing that directly serves Canadians like passenger trains, urban infrastructure, hospitals, affordable housing, etc. You can tell who he keeps in mind, and who he doesn’t.
