Eternal Strands is coming out Jan 28th on Steam, Epic, PS5, Xbox Series X/S. Our target retail is around $40 USD.

A third person action-adventure (with some RPG splashed on there), where you get to explore a ruined nation, fight massive creatures, and manipulate kinetics and temperature in battle.
I accidentally mistook some characters from Piers Plowman as if they were from Pilgrim's Progress tonight. @gavinetc.bsky.social and @colinmcc.bsky.social have, appropriately, begun the petitions to have my literature degree revoked.

It feels like “Maramel” was right there for the taking.

Cowards.
There is no earthly reason why this abomination should have ever been conceived, let alone developed and marketed. And even less rational justification for it being so unfathomably delicious or utterly addictive.

It is crack in a bottle and must be regulated, before the whole country is lost to it.

Was just reading about the Dune Awakening base backup system and I think it’s a great call. Pack things up, keep them safe and restore to the exact same point later (if it’s open).

I’ve pretty much run out of content on Dune so this option excellent, doubly so with server merges coming.

If you insist on being the first one to power on your newly built PC with the really high-end fans and cooling, is that Prima Noctua?

This game is my favorite in the "puzzle game but masquerading as turn-based-tactics" genre (is that a genre? Who cares, it's great).

Random thought. I imagine the material is highly resistant to it, but if Star Trek can get a Lower Decks, there's a non-zero chance we get a zany Office Space or The Office-esque series about the endless bureaucracy of the Dune universe.

This game is fantastic. A bit of a learning cliff at first, but as a "run your crew, do procedural missions, upgrade your base" in the vein of X-Com it works really well.

The missions have a much higher stealth component, but it's optional: you almost always go loud, but you can decide when.
Major free update today and 25%-off our squad-based tactical RPG!

folks can complain about the effectiveness of scheduled orderly mass protest but to think about it another way its the closest thing we have to the opening scene of A Muppet Christmas Carol where all the muppets sing "there goes Mr. Dipshit, there goes Mr. Ass" to Scrooge and it clearly bothered him

If you've updated to Windows 11 recently, you're probably on version 25H2.

There's a new setting in Settings: Privacy & Security.

Scroll aaaaaaaalll the way to the bottom and you'll see "Text and Image Generation."

TURN IT OFF.
