For Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the trans people whose lives were stolen by violence and hate.

May their names echo louder than the voices that tried to silence them.

We honour them by fighting for a world where trans people can live freely and safely.

51/ The EHRC Chief Executive, John Kirkpatrick, gave written evidence that it took less than a day to draft the guidance, and just over 24 hours in total to decide to publish it.

Almost 60,000 women have signed this petition by @nionwomen.bsky.social women to say that the transphobes do not speak for them. Meanwhile the Daily Express front-pages seven transphobes, falsely claiming that they “represent women”. If they do not represent you. Please sign.

Two wins and two clean sheets in the Women's Champions League for Manchester United.

A first United goal for Rolfö and a fantastic defensive display to win 1-0 with 10 players - a fantastic European away performance! 🔴⚪️⚫️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

No modern country should be basing law and human rights on the scientifically illiterate, far right bioessentialist concept of BiOLoGicAL sEx.

We're being taken back to the Stone Age by wilfully ignorant, malicious idiots.

Queer and trans people are taught by the world to settle for far too little. The most important thing I’ve learned in the last year is that your real friends are the people who won’t ghost you over a difference of opinion. Hang on to those people.

Keira Christina Knightley is no friend of the trans community and based on an interview I’ve seen seems to think that persecution of trans people
Is funny. Will never watch a film she is in again.

A physical queue that stretched from the Houses of Parliament to Southend on Sea. (Or Chelmsford, Bishops Stortford, or Slough)

More than 4000 London buses, 470 football fields, or 520 Big Bens.

Its enough to fill the O2 arena to capacity 2 and 1/2 times, or The House of Commons 74 times.

I never thought I would have hope again after labour screwing us over. I’ve learned politics in this country is full of the worse kind of people. But @zackpolanski.bsky.social and the greens are giving me hope thinks might change and I might no longer be politically homeless. #TransRights #Hope

After a pretty shitty week it was great to end it with a beautiful first ❤️ story. I am thankful to live in Manc so I have access to films like this which are basically streaming only previously unless you live in London. A Flemish Belgium film that meant I could not stop smiling afterwards. #filmsky

It means if I get ill I will end up on a male ward whatever stage of transition, it means state sponsored eradication of trans pp. It no coincidence starmers approval rating = 13%. This will cause so many to take their own life. Every GC and the gov will have blood on its hands.
Equality and Human Rights Commission guidance to be submitted to ministers this month will tell schools, hospitals, leisure centres and cinemas to limit trans access

Found this by accident, it is a really good tv series. It’s a shame you have to dig so deep to find it. One would hope female centric drama classily and clever would have been on a main channel. Tbh that is the point, I used to disagree with the parallels being then and now and I no longer do.

Can’t see why in 10 years we have fallen from the 1st place in Europe for LGBT equality to 22nd not that much higher than Russia can you? Don’t be as stupid as the telegraph thinks you are. #TransRightsAreHumanRights

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” (George Santayana). Separate but equal worked so well last time didn’t it. What makes people think it is the solution. We are getting punished due to a deranged subset of society who hate their own womanhood. #transwomenarewomen

At a legal level the Supreme Court has tacitly adopted - or approved - that practice.

If the highest court in the land discriminates (let us call it what it is) against trans people trying to assert their legal rights what are their legal rights really worth?

2nd film of the day blew me away. It’s an excellent engaging, yes coming of age story but also a commentary on the fragility of life and life transitions. A directorial debut with superb performances from the lead Deba Hekmat and the rest of the cast. This is highest quality British cinema. #filmsky.
