It's very easy to say you're against violence. It's much harder to acknowledge how violence is literally what upholds the systems we live in. Violence and the implicit threat of violence literally mediate all of our lives. Why do we pay rent? Why do we listen to authority figures? etc. etc.

Your periodic reminder that "it's complicated" does not mean "it's morally ambiguous." Lots of morally correct things are complex and lots of morally repugnant things are simple and easy. Situational complexity doesn't mean doing the right thing is any less of a moral imperative.

I 100% would have used ChatGPT for homework when I was in school, because homework sucked ass. However, if I hadn't been forced to bullshit a lot of essays 15 minutes before class I wouldn't have learned that I enjoy writing. The moral is to destroy both ChatGPT and homework.
