Just heard from my friend that 30% of her students are absent from school today. Her school serves a majority Latino population. I hate that these kids and their families can’t live their daily lives for fear of being taken based on their skin color. It makes me sick.

I’m still thinking about “quiet, piggy.” No president should be able to speak to a member of the press that way and remain president. That moment encapsulates how vile, misogynistic, and horrible that man is.

Don’t give him an out by saying he has dementia. He’s been like this for ages, he’s just older and tired. I’ve had decades of professional and personal experience with dementia and that’s not what this is. It’s a tired, old vile conman racist rapist who likes attention who has lots of camera time.

I've seen the clip of what he said to the reporter. Why didn't the other reporters have her back? I know this is an "unprecedented" President, but that shouldn't stop basic standards in how the press should respond or support one another.

as a reporter, the part of this that i’ve simply never understood is how the next person to ask a question when he does something like this doesn’t simply repeat the question that set him off. it’s not just solidarity with your colleague, it’s an important question that remains worth asking

not exaggerating when I say that this should be grounds for impeachment. it's not a crime, but it is I think a "high misdemeanor"; a flagrant abuse of office demonstrating sweeping contempt for the first amendment and the American people.
