I write comic books. Hi!
What movie moment made you exclaim…

“THIS IS CINEMA” 🖤

I shouldn't look at social media.
It's just 4 to 6 different scandals w/ this current administration. How they're failing/not failing/ruining peoples' lives.
And they're all so stupid, obvious, and (in a sane world) avoidable.

I miss the old man who liked ice cream, riding trains, and being boring.

According to Trump, if Canada starts making deals with China, China will take hockey away from them!

And then... um... maple syrup!
And... uh... all of their moose!
And... er... Michael J. Fox!

(Shh. He's crazy.)
The President of the United States is officially holding the Stanley Cup hostage

It finally happened.

My parents finally LIKED a TV show I recommended. 😵

They... they... they said they can't wait to watch Season 2.

What universe am I in?

This is very much a glitch-in-the-Matrix situation going on here.

(The show, btw, was LUDWIG.)

You can honorably represent your country, its spirit, and its principles while being openly opposed to its current administration.

Sometimes doing that is a sign you're honoring America.

And doing that while those in power attempt to bully you, that makes you champions both on and off the field.

Random memory:
I remember being on a bus for a school trip when one of my friends held up the 1st pop top can of soda any of us had ever seen. We'd only had pull tabs.

I remember him drawing everyone's attention.
He said "THIS is the future."
And popped the top.

And his soda sprayed all over him.

The 5th episode of ST: STARFLEET ACADEMY is my favorite so far. That was some good Trek!

I think it took the Pilot and 2nd episode to set all the pieces to where they needed to be. And I know that can feel like "homework" to watch as a viewer...

But Episodes 3, 4, & 5 have been great. I'm all in.

The staffer story/excuse is to give members of the GOP a talking point for why they're not condemning Trump.

1. It was not an accident.
2. It was not a staffer.
3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

Yesterday one of my short stories saw print and another was reprinted in a collection.

I LOVE telling short stories. It uses a different set of muscles than you normal use telling a full issue or a multi-part arc.

It forces you to boil everything down to character + premise.
Get in, get out.

My take:
It's because the Eagles could only fly into Mordor AFTER the One Ring was destroyed and Sauron was defeated.

That's why.

SUPERMAN CHAINS OF LOVE #1
This issue has a 10pg backup by me & Rosi Kämpe.
I'm really proud of this one. It's the best script I've turned into DC in over 20 years.

FANTASTIC FOUR FANFARE tpb
This one has a fun 10pg THING story I did with one of my all-time favorite artists, Marcos Martin!

When interviewing Trump's cabinet members, reporters should loudly say, "Siri, upload all the Epstein Files to (name of server)."

You never know. It's worth a shot.

The only renovation that venue needs is to get 5 letters removed from its name.

Attendance would skyrocket 100,000%.
Trump: "I have determined that the fastest way to bring The Trump Kennedy Center to the highest level of Success, Beauty, and Grandeur, is to cease Entertainment Operations for an approximately two year period of time, with a scheduled Grand Reopening that will rival and surpass anything."

Imagine what FoxNews would be doing with the released Epstein files 24 hours a day if Biden, Harris, or Obama were in them.

Exhibit 1: Tom Homan is accused of being bribed with a bag filled with $50K.

Exhibit 2: Tom Homan is being sent to Minneapolis.

Exhibit 3: The signing bonus to become an ICE agent is $50K.

Dude, it's all right there. Tom Homan's going to be an ICE agent.

The math checks out.

Just a few hours after celebrating Sal B's birthday, I got the news that Sal has passed away. An enormous loss for our industry and for all of us who knew and worked with him. Safe journeys, Sal. We'll miss you.
Sal Buscema turns 90 today. There's hardly a Marvel character Sal hasn't left his mark on, from Cap to the Hulk, Avengers to Thor. Working with Sal for two years on Spectacular Spider-Man remains a highlight of my career. And the best part? He's not just a great artist, he's a truly good guy.
