This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

Just to note. January 23, 2019 there was a vote to reopen government (HJ RES 28, roll call vote 46) when the govt had been shut down for 30 days.

Mike Johnson voted “no” on that.

They didn’t seem to mind shutdowns then

Let me just say a simple thing.

Democrats have no obligation to provide the votes to fund the destruction of our democracy.

If you want my vote for a bipartisan budget, there need to be protections to stop Trump's brazen lawlessness.
