Because this entire framing is a right wing one! Why do liberals constantly demand that we cede ground to fascists? The "male loneliness epidemic" is the fascist way of viewing a complex set of problems that are already discussed on the left. Adopting fascist terminology just lends them credibility.
Everyone is yelling at Ian about this but the article is good and this is a real problem! If you are a straight guy trying to get laid 99% of the advice you come across will be right wing-coded.
The left is completely silent on the subject of men getting laid - which, generally speaking, they are v.interested in doing and will continue to be interested in regardless of whether progressives want to talk about it. So the stage has been left entirely clear for the far-right.

the US revolution was not a revolt against colonization but instead the (seemingly) permanent cementing of the colonial project. It's not like India or Ireland breaking free from the UK, it's like if the British colonists in India broke free from the UK's control.

But Hermosillo did not read it, because he cannot read.
According to Hermosillo's girlfriend, Grace Hernandez, Hermosillo has learning disabilities and can only write his name.

It's worth keeping in mind that the 1% are paranoiacs and are thinking about the future as a series of threats. When they think about issues like climate apocalypse they're not thinking "what will happen to the earth?" they're thinking "how will I prevent the guards in my bunker from killing me?"
Roko's Basilisk is awesome because a) it's a product of niche forum arguments made to sound like a philosophical conundrum and b) 99% of people learning about it go "huh, that's stupid" but a vulnerable 1% have their minds broken
well, i finally cracked and looked up wtf roko’s basilisk is and somehow, unbelievably, a lot of very wealthy men are about a thousand times more pathetic than i previously assessed.

Far and away the thing i love most about Half Life 2 is Viktor Antonov's incredible world design. The surreal mixture of grounded European architecture blended, occasionally violently, with the angular, alien designs of the Combine are masterclass. To this day some of my favorite art direction.
