Please mask. If you're in the position to make decisions about your organization's OH & S, please reinstate masking requirements. Community is the best antidote to fascism, and we need to keep each other safe to build it in the first place. Please. Mask.

Incredible work. What a great way to communicate the toll of long covid and break the dominant narrative of "you just need to push through a bit"
"Games are surprisingly useful communication tools in a world in denial about COVID-19 and Long Covid.

Canadian professor Steve Wilcox has between 95 and 100% of students ... masking up with N95s after playing a simple game he designed called 'The Haunted Woods.'"

Long COVID is REAL. I went from healthy to bedbound.
+65M+ worldwide are suffering. +Symptoms: fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, heart palpitations, hair loss, & more.

If you know someone with ‘mysterious symptoms’, it’s likely Long COVID, not perimenopause. Don’t ignore it. #LongCovidAwarenessDay

Bedridden for nearly two years.
Unable to have a conversation for 1.5 years.

Long COVID is devastating, and it doesn’t always get better with time.

It is a shame Alberta is dragging its feet signing the new federal child care deal because early data suggests it was one of the provinces where it really, REALLY, worked.

A huge amount of Alberta women left the labour force between 2019-24 except women with kids 0-5 years.

Again, two of my friends were concussed and a student’s mom had her ribs broken by police when they attacked the students who had *already* started taking the encampment down after 12 hrs. This is wholly rotten

“Accurate information on how many people in a community die from COVID, or any other cause—is essential for making decisions about public health. It is also important for families. Everyone deserves to know why a loved one died.”
New Analysis Reveals Many Excess Deaths Attributed to Natural Causes Are Actually Uncounted COVID-19 Deaths
The new study provides the most compelling data yet to suggest that excess mortality rates from chronic illnesses and other natural causes were actually driven by COVID-19 infections.

How problematic is the Alberta report on COVID? Very.

Recommendations embrace misinformation & run counter to a vast & diverse body of evidence.

Policy analysis is nonsensical & displays a lack of knowledge about law or ethics.

This is science in Alberta? Dark Age 2.0.

Imagine the world if we’d been willing to learn from COVID…

What if we’d embraced WFH to slow climate change?

What if we’d installed filtration systems in public buildings to reduce the spread of illness?

What if we’d demanded disability justice re long COVID?

A better world is still possible.
