If you read my Substack, you know my mother was in the ICU over Christmas.

I’m so sad to have to update you all that my mom passed away on 1/3/2026, after nearly 2 weeks there.

Our hearts are broken and we will never be the same. If love could’ve saved you, you’d still be with us mom ❤️

if you’re proudly vaccinated against COVID but you don’t bother with other precautions like masking in indoor spaces, you’re actually *undermining the effectiveness of the vaccine*

All of this goes back to the fact that people don't understand the limits of the COVID vaccines. They don't understand what the COVID vaccines do and don't do. They don't understand the way the COVID virus is mutating around vaccine protection. “So like, I've seen people saying like, oh, well, if you wear a mask, that means you don't trust the vaccine. Well, no, I mean, you're harming the vaccine by not masking because you're allowing the vaccine, which is supposed to be a last line of defense against the virus, to be a first line of defense against the virus.”

Like, this is the same virus that you as an adult hid in your house from for a year, and now you're taking your new baby out that is not vaccinated. Like, don't do that. Like, do not do that. It is still neuroinvasive. It is still a vascular virus that will damage your blood vessels. It will damage your immune system. It will damage your baby."

It's about respect. Like, I respect this virus. You gotta give props to the microorganisms, because if anything it's shown us humans are as frail as any other organism, but gosh... viruses, respect the viruses! Like, what an almost superior organism. I mean, they are pretty ingenious, and if you don't respect the virus, you can't figure out how to, like, deal with it. You have to deal with it. And if you don't respect it-....people underestimate viruses, right? I think we’re seeing this. The people that underestimate viruses are the ones who are making these policies, right? Like, if you don't respect it and understand how it functions, you're fucked. You're fucked. I respect the virus. I take it seriously, and I'll do my best to do this dance, right? Like, we're gonna dance... and dance at a socially distanced dance for as long as possible, but there is a lot of respect I have for viruses, and, I feel like that's the feeling, right? That we don't, again, this is a devoid, this is an anti-science society, and we don't have that understanding. We don't have the grounding or respect for other life forms. I mean, viruses are as real as a puppy, or other mammal, right? Like, I think just because we can't see them doesn't mean they're not there. So, it's part of our failure of our imagination that we don't see it as clearly as a mirror, right?
