The Pandemic Has Been a Portal (for a few of us)
It's true that most people keep choosing "normalcy". But the COVID conscious community is showing us a radical new way forward, that centers care

"Why are kids sick all the time now?"

If people actually wanted to know, they'd listen to the answer.

After abandoning every mitigation and infecting kids repeatedly, our media wants to know: why do so many children have Long COVID?

My latest looks at the newest research, the comforting lies that just won't die, and how we got here:

Long COVID is Now the Number One Chronic Illness in Children
Repeatedly mass infecting kids with COVID is not a public health strategy. It's a fast pass to declining population health

Heartbreaking and horrifying to go to bed reading about the mass shooting at Brown University and wake up to read about the mass shooting at a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach. Thinking of the victims, their loved ones, and those affected by the hate that drove these attacks.

Sounds like a cool course! My favorite would probably be anything written by Julia Doubleday. I really really appreciate her writing about living with long covid. She posted a great new essay just a couple days ago

2 years in to living with Long COVID, my life has changed drastically- and so have I.

My latest personal essay talks about how a life steeped in crashes and pain lends itself to mindful gratitude in the interludes of quiet relief.
