I’ve noticed this too!!! It’s so so strange. I will say for me , in May/June is when I started pushing myself to go on daily walks and I wonder if that’s what contributed to me finally crashing myself down to homebound, but it’s all so mysterious

Pre beta blocker shower for me. beta blockers have improved things for me at least getting me out of the active range when I’m just lying around and bringing down the peaks of my HR spikes. I’m able to sit more, write more than prior. But I’m on a clock as soon as I get vertical

My heart rate w POTS - the white is when I’m lying down. The blue and red spikes are when I briefly sit or stand. This is AFTER being medicated with beta blockers. I just ordered my first cane which folds into a chair. I’ll be able to sit down anywhere when my heart rate goes too high

Today I finished In Search of Lost Time.
Proust has been a major comfort for me as I’ve gotten sicker with Long COVID. I was reading The Prisoner when I became homebound, and at my worst I struggled through The Fugitive.
Thank you for the magical experience ❤️

In March 2021, walensky indeed used early (promising) data to prematurely state that “the virus stops with every vaccinated person”

No, they were briefly good at preventing transmission! They just took very early data and ran with it, not realizing that the virus would mutate around this protectiveness incredibly quickly. But it did provide good protection for the first several months

Thank you ❤️🙏🥹 I haven’t been well enough to leave home or anything yet but I have been sitting up a bit, showering, writing, and today reading. One migraine this week instead of the usual 5-7. Beatrice is supervising

I recently wrote about how severe my Long COVID has become. Homebound, mostly bedbound. This week a new medication, Propranolol, has shown some promise treating my migraines 🤞

Fortunate to have my cat, who is always down to spend more time napping ❤️

I hate when clinicians say patients aren’t “trying” to exercise. It is usually trying to exercise that makes us bedbound in the first place 😢

I got Covid last Nov, had moderate long covid symptoms, kept trying to workout. In May & June I went walking a lot. August and Oct looked like this 💔

Forcible, repeated covid infection is disabling workers at an unprecedented rate. Ppl are catching covid on avg 1-2 per YEAR (whereas they get flu 1-2 per decade- links to all this info in my substack), and risk of long covid is CUMULATIVE. This is so unsustainable

In this piece, I wrote about how anti-vax beliefs have been mainstreamed by our media:

www.thegauntlet.news/p/liberals-j...

The story below is a great example of what I’m talking about. “Sickness builds the immune system” is an anti-vaxxer lie. Much of the public believes it now.
