“So how long are you going to wear a mask?”

“I don’t know, how long are you and everyone else going to ignore how constant Covid infections are damaging our bodies and killing us slowly before you demand govt invest in clean air everywhere, paid sick days to curb spread, and a universal vaccine?”

Some Winter Olympics athletes, teams, and their loved ones are protecting themselves from airborne pathogens by masking and isolating.

Meanwhile, the media stigmatizes disease prevention while minimizing serious risks of Long COVID.

Effective immediately, you will no be protected against airborne diseases in Toronto, ON hospitals.

"Point of care" assessment is symptom-based, not test-based, and therefore completely useless. Because people can be asymptomatic, pre-symptomatic, or "somewhat recovered but still infectious".
BREAKING NEWS

"With the decline in respiratory virus activity, the Toronto Region IPAC Leads have recommended that hospitals suspend hospital-wide mandatory masking policies."

Journalists have often asked me how vaccine policy in the US could impact Canadians. I've repeated that one way, among many, is by fundamentally altering the value proposition for vaccine research and development. And so it begins.
More reporting: At the WEF in Davos, Moderna’s CEO said Moderna will "stop investing in late-stage vaccine trials that are a crucial part of the approval process," b/c “You cannot ‍make a return on investment if you don’t have access to the U.S. market."

This is just straight up incorrect. “Lagacé-Wiens said that unlike with COVID-19…masks do little to protect someone from contracting it.”
Respirators (masks designed to block airborne pathogens) are incredibly effective against measles. Why is CBC publishing easily disproven nonsense?
Interesting how CBC alludes, in a backhanded way, to the efficacy of masks against covid: "Measles can stay in the environment hours after an infected person has been in a space, and Lagacé-Wiens said that unlike with COVID-19, physical distancing or masks do little to protect someone from
Doctor, virologist caution against attending large public gatherings if unvaccinated against measles | CBC News

It’s mindblowing that most people do way more research before buying a 4K TV or a new car than they did before deciding to stop masking and vaxxing for a virus that is still as deadly and debilitating as the first year they did everything they could not to get infected by it.

Are people sicker now than in 2019?

Civil servants in England are.
Sickness absence rates have *risen by between 12% to 23% across the age groups*.

Are things getting worse?
It certainly looks like it.

This is exactly what we predicted repeat covid infection would do.

I wore a N95 the whole time in hospital - why go through the stress of surgery to repair one artery and then put every vessel in body at risk?

Every organ in your body, including your brain, requires robust blood flow to function.

Protect your vessels. Wear a N95.

We wouldn’t have this in NB right now without our fall 2024 election. For us the key was getting clean air in schools into election promises. Very very glad that the opposition took this seriously and then won, forming @govnb.bsky.social 🔥🔥
It’s been a pretty good week-or-so. ☺️

ASHRAE 241 for all new GNB buildings, including schools.
