I've studied the anti-vax movement for 7 years of my career and I can't believe I'm now at the point where I can't recommend the CDC as a trustworthy source of health information.

Trump's "it would cost a lot of money and be very difficult to undo" argument in favor of the tariffs is kind of giving away the game, huh? The whole point of most of this administration is to do a lot of damage very fast before anything gets through the courts, to make it hard to impossible to fix.

He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

I’ve come to believe that we need to gather considerable forces and a campaign to demand the removal of face masks by ICE, Border Patrol, FBI and police.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

I probably fall into the same category of "student he may not remember," but I was delighted to see his name at the top and further pleased to read the article itself; it strikes at the heart of the harms toothless both-sides reporting does.
I will admit I have never actually put a boombox on my shoulder, but I otherwise cover the list.
While I have never dropped the needle on a vinyl record, I HAVE used eight tracks, which means whoever made this Are You Old list is probably younger than me.

I was looking for a way to sum up my feelings about Cheney, and this goes a long way. One of the architects of the "just lie about it" movement in American politics of the 21st century, and one of the people who shoved the country hard in the wrong direction.
