I hadn’t heard about this new pivot-to-video and I do not understand. It defeats the purpose! I listen to podcasts while driving or playing Warcraft. I don’t need a visual component. Who is this for?
will also add - yes, this is my personal crusade - that turning podcasts into videos implicitly asks women to once again make more effort than men, as the bar for "camera-ready" for one gender is obviously higher than for the other

Any problems people have with the sequel trilogy have very little to do with "it wasn't planned out from the start". The original trilogy wasn't planned in advance - Leia was Luke's sister on Tatooine in the first draft, then she wasn't, but now she was an Alderaanian princess, and then she was.
There's a thing in Media Discourse that I don't understand the mindset behind: That only ideas "planned from the start" count.
We're seeing this in Stranger Things discourse now, where people are saying the larger arc "wasn't planned" because an old pitch deck talks about an anthology concept.
