Watching The Harder They Come for the first time back in 1997 was highly influencial in my life, from a music and culture perspective. It really solidified my love for Reggae that stuck with me every since. RIP
Saddened to hear the great Jimmy Cliff has passed away. His music has been a constant companion.

Our leaders are woefully misguided.
So much of our government is socialist: social security, Medicare/Medicaid, public education, highways/roads/infrastructure, Military, libraries, police, fire, EMS, post office, and unemployment.

I agree it shouldn’t be, but being a 2nd wave feminist, I am drawn to Carol Hanisch’s concept that “the personal is political”. Supporting and fighting for the marginalized, minorities, and the downtrodden is absolutely political and I don’t see that stopping any time soon.

Sad to think that 77 million Americans hear what Obama is saying and think he’s full of shit, and just dead wrong.
