The soft pedaling language being used to describe the men in the Epstein files is enraging.

They didn’t “have sex with underage girls”.

They raped them.

Sex implies consent.

The survivors deserve better than this. Use the correct language. Say what these men did.

The reason for this is multi-factorial, but the fact that Long Covid is not mentioned once is extremely telling. Especially since the article makes an explicit comparison with 2019.

I believe that the state and media backed changing of the meaning of the word, 'Covid' to 'the period of time when non-pharmaceutical interventions were in place' rather than the disease itself will, in the future, be seen as the most damaging linguistic trick in history.

No.

Our mask requirement is not "virtue signalling".

It's protecting a) the cancer patient and b) the child who is still too small to wear a mask.

And also--and I can't emphasize this strongly enough--you.

Why has an intelligent and articulate woman wearing a mask and speaking at the UN provoked an aggressive response from some media outlets?

Because her mask and her words have profoundly perturbed people at a deeply subconscious level. The nature of that perturbation is fear.
3. As such, fulfilling this need requires a shared societal agreement to embrace vast cognitive dissonance. Those who choose not to be part of this agreement will, inevitably, be deemed as having a mental health condition (Foucault understood this phenomena very well indeed).

This is not the win we want!

Instead, give federal agents a choice to cover their faces with proper PPE, while being required to display their names and badges when conducting uniformed operations (not when doing UC work obviously).
BREAKING: Gavin Newsom signs legislation to ban face coverings for federal agents.

No. Musk's guys are still running the GSA. Sam Altman also appears to hold a lot of sway at GSA and with the Trump administration. "Big Balls" et al met up with OpenAI execs at a private afterparty not long ago:
