Same here, on the other side of the lake. 17 car pile up in Rochester this morning. Our terrible civil engineering is at play, too, and it is multifactorial, but a variety of terrible driver choices bears a lot of responsibility.

While I don’t disagree, I'm compelled to point out that 'during covid' is now. Left-leaning science-following folks no longer masking is peak hypocrisy. Covid is airborne, current vaccines do not prevent transmission/infection, and there is no cure for long covid.

Indeed, otherwise we'd see a lot more strident messaging around using respirators rather than all the performative hand waving around nonsterilizing vaccines. They are an important layer that folks should have access to, but they are not the best tool for preventing transmission.
