Did you provide wheelchair access for your gathering but not bother about indoor air quality? That's not inclusion and access. #covid is a disabling disease.

Is the #Pandemic over? Not for people with #LongCovid, more each day. Kids can still get Long Covid even if their initial infection is relatively mild. They have a lifetime of long COVID ahead of them, and the world is not prepared to deal with that reality. #Test #Mask #SaveLives #CovidAin’tOver
We often hear 'the #pandemic' in the past tense, but #covid infections are causing massive harm to health and economies. Reduce risk through #ventilation, #filtration and wearing an ffp2 or #ffp3 respirator mask. These actions reduce the likelihood of all airborne infections.

#Covid and #flu are different but we should be reducing the transmission of all airborne diseases. Good public health measures for Covid, such as #ventilation and wearing proper #respirator #masks, also reduce flu and would stop it surging every winter.

Indoor air quality - #IAQ - is an inclusion and health issue.
Shared, unventilated spaces are ideal conditions for the transmission of #Covid and other airborne diseases. We need #CleanWater and we need #CleanAir

I remember working with the disability theatre company back in 2022. People were concerned but hopeful that support would come for those with ME/CFS & clinically vulnerable. Instead of bringing hope, when lockdown lifted we were left behind. Long Covid numbers soared due to lack of preventions and 🧵

We also don't talk about how having at least one prior Covid infection is a risk factor for both long Covid and severe outcomes resulting from a future Covid infection.

And a Covid infection in the past 12 months increases a person's odds of dying from just about everything.
It’s really important to talk about long covid sufferers and also clinically vulnerable but often we now overlap
Increasingly because people with conditions like Cancer are now also being exposed to infections in hospital and struggling with long covid on top.

#Healthcare should not be where people go to get sick. We advocate #ventilation, air cleaning measures and the wearing of proper #respirator masks, e.g. #ffp3.

@ukhsa.bsky.social you know that #ffp3 masks in healthcare would massively reduce everybody's chance of getting flu, don't you? Why can't we just have proper infection control and not just accept spreading disease?

This is definitely a thing. And the media aren't picking up on it.
I feel like if I say this, it might save some lives, even though part of me, feels like I am being holier than thou. I’ve been wearing a mask since the beginning of Covid, and I cannot remember getting sick this entire time. Not once. No sniffles. No colds. No allergies even. Save yourself. Maskup.

Flu is surging in uk this year. The thing about flu is that not only is there an available vaccine, but ffp3 masks work really well to prevent transmission. #masksinhealthcare. We don't need to be this sick all the time.
