If we all had the same skin colour, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and abilities, there would be people who would group us by finger length, eye colour, head shape, etc., because they just want to oppress and exploit.

The categories don’t matter to them, it’s all about the oppression.

"At least 10 shots being heard in total. Most of them are fired after a brief delay, when the man is already lying motionless on the ground."
Federal law enforcement agents shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Jan. 24 according to local police officials. DHS told Fox News that the man was “armed with a gun”. A video of the shooting appears to show that a gun was taken from the man before the first shot was fired. x.com/BillMelugin_...

The people who'll tell you today's murder victim in Minnesota shouldn't have turned up to a protest carrying a gun are the same people who said Kyle Rittenhouse was perfectly entitled to do the same thing.

I wrote something for Politico about the real issue with Greg Bovino's overcoat. IMO, it isn't about whether the overcoat is tied to any particular regime, but about how immigration enforcement has become increasingly warlike in terms of strategy, discourse, and dress. 🧵

The way to deal with malignancy is to calmly and continuously enforce boundaries, in this case literally.

@mark-carney.bsky.social when an ambassador is in Canada openly endorsing secession, it’s time to send that ambassador home and require a replacement.

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.

Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.

Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.

But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.

Remember this.

Our health care system is collapsing and so are the professionals. Please trust the doctors, nurses, Rick Bells and others: we need massive urgent action now to prevent disease and right this ship.

Stopping airborne disease would be a really great start.

Good to see @mark-carney.bsky.social's clarity on the threats posed by the US and Russia. The call to "take the sign out of the window" also leaves room to pivot from a pandemic dominated by medical politics, turf wars and infection control failures, to clear-headed, ethical, science-based action.

The one exception is during an airborne disease outbreak, folks wearing respirator masks checking medical information are the good guys.

Every rule has an exception.

Canada needs to get in on this in a robust way, and show support for Greenland, Denmark, and other northern European allies, for two important reasons: 1) It's the right thing to do. 2) We could very well be next.
Sweden’s Prime Minister, in a new statement on Greenland:

“We will not let ourselves be blackmailed… Sweden is now having intensive discussions with other EU countries, Norway, and the United Kingdom for a coordinated response.”
