I don't want to hear "we can't afford it" one more time from Labour.

Not while they continue to reinforce their Brexit red lines.

The amount of money being left on the table by not seeking to rejoin the EU is eye-watering.

The tax lost to Brexit would have paid for everything Labour needed.

The extraordinary moment at the NATO press conference when Trump admits he gave a foreign enemy (Iran) permission to attack a US military base.

“They said is one o’clock ok? I said it’s fine.”

He even says soldiers were still on site.

I’m not a constitutional lawyer, but that’s treason, right?

Zohran Mamdani’s plan to tax the rich is a 2% tax on income over $1 million.

If you make $1.1 million, you’d pay an extra $2,000.

Watching working class conservatives and politicians completely meltdown about this is wild.

Pam Bondi is denying she knows ICE agents wore masks during raids despite copious video evidence.

If she truly didn't know, she should be fired for incompetence. If she does know (she absolutely does) then she should be fired for ordering or allowing it on her watch.

Why do UK media outlets- in particular the Times, Mail and Telegraph - let Trump get away with appalling loutish behaviour which they’d condemn in anyone else? Like trying to get a journalist sacked for writing the truth or calling them scum or dropping the F-bomb in public

This is a level of control freakery to which even the Blair government didn’t aspire. And it’s clearly terrible for good governance – connection is vital, and this severs that at all but ministerial levels.
‘The No10 communications team has banned any official from speaking at events that include question and answer sessions, or where the media are expected to be in attendance’. Ridiculous. www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/comment/gove...

Watching Truth Social posts by Trump every hour, each more insane & unhinged than the previous one as he circles the drain of a malignant narcissist’s descent into dementia, makes it that much more ridiculous that media just spent a month on Biden while pretending Trump is sane.

I see no real difference between ICE and the early SA/SS in Nazi Germany. A secret police force implementing the mass incarceration of social and political “enemies” in centers and camps. Maybe only a matter of time before they get confident enough in their power to impose actual genocide.

A U.S. citizen on their way to work abducted by ICE then locked in a basement, with federal government employees refusing to consider indisputable proof of citizenship.

Congress endorses it. SCOTUS keeps thwarting judges from even slowing it.

What more is there to say? We live under fascism now.
I spoke to employers who were seeking to help employees abducted by ICE - including one boss seeking freedom for a U.S. citizen staffer who was arrested in the space between their uber and the front door of their workplace.

Their boss had their U.S. passport in hand, pleading for their release.

Friendly reminder that under Morgan McSweeney's direction, Labour have lost the public's support in record time yielding a 10pt lead to the party he claims he's trying to "head off".

By any metric his appointment in-Govt has been a total fucking disaster for Keir Starmer.

I can imagine the testimony in traffic court:

Cop: He was threatening us.
Court: In what way?
Cop: He crossed the street at an angle.
Court: How was that threatening?
Cop: His skin was dark.
Court: Guilty.
The Lakeland Police in Florida have nothing better to do than tackle a young Black boy for jaywalking at a 45 degree angle.

It seems the police department in Lakeland has a lot of KKK members on their police force.
