This is an example of how nostalgia for the old days is simply nostalgia for when you were younger.
The idea that America was a post-racial society in the 1970s/1980s only makes sense if you were literally a child at that time and couldn’t observe what any adult was experiencing.

There's going to be news about a woman illegally detained and being forcely removed from a Coeur d'Alene Idaho Town Hall meeting taking place at the high school by men that would not identify themselves wearing plain clothes because she opposed the republican viewpoints.

Ever said final goodbyes to a loved one on their deathbed, grieved the imminent passing, then learned the next day that they’ve rallied? You’re happy of course, but it’s a weird emotional limbo where you’ve already made peace with the loss. That’s sort of how it felt today with TT. #tiktokrefugee
