At 10 am on ⁦‪@MSNOWNews,‬⁩ I’ll discuss Smith transcript. He debunked the claim that Trump was just contesting an election like other presidents. Trump knowingly engaged in fraud and took steps to obstruct the lawful transfer of presidential power.

Breaking:

A federal appeals court just ruled that the Trump admin must return hundreds of California National Guard troops to Gov. Newsom's control.

Newsom: "I'm glad Pres. Trump has finally admitted defeat: We've said all along the federalization of the National Guard in California is illegal."

Someone has their priorities in order.
Most importantly, 41 days until pitchers and catchers report.
Happy new year to all, especially to everyone who’s as addicted to this website as I am, to be on here right now.

May 2026 be better than 202 for us all.

Probably a good way to start the New Year would be to stop watching TV and finish doing the dishes. Or I could give up before the year has barely started.

The way we need to market this shit is to do what conservatives did for the past 30 years and write books like “The ten forbidden truths you’re not allowed to say on politically correct tv” and then it’s just cities are mostly fine and it’s good to get a flu shot
A remarkable trend that will come as a shock to you if your only info about NYC is from this Fox News.

Interesting thread on the origin of the MetroCard!
The retirement of the MetroCard at midnight tonight is bittersweet for me. In 1983, as a young lawyer, I took a year's leave of absence from my law firm to serve as special counsel to Richard Ravitch, chairman of the NY MTA. He gave me the task of leading a study ...
It's the final day of MetroCard sales—so as we say farewell to an icon, let's take a look at how it all started.

Thank you, MetroCard, for moving New York to the very last swipe.

Or, as some might say, namely me, we're gonna vote the bums out.
Fuck off, 2025.

But huge high five to everyone who pushed back against fascists and bigots and will continue to do so in 2026 and beyond!

We are going to win.

All these fascists bound to lose.

Democrats yesterday won the final special election of 2025, in Iowa: Their nominee defended a state Senate district by 43%. Harris had won it by 17% last year.

This win means Dems prevent the GOP from gaining a supermajority; the GOP lost the supermajority earlier this year.

The nuance here is that the IRT Company went bankrupt, and its subway lines survived because the city took them over under the leadership of the socialist Fiorello LaGuardia.
They are losing it lol

Framing Steve Banks - who spent that overwhelming majority of his career at Legal Aid Society and then the BdB Administration - as an “ex-Paul Weiss counsel” (where he left after the firm bent the knee to Donald Trump) is such a dumb editorial choice

Still mind-blowing that a top admin official was revealed to have taken $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from people looking for government favors, the reaction of the administration was "Whatever losers, this is how it works now" and bigshot news media said "If you say so, we'll forget about it"
Border czar Tom Homan didn't receive a normal background check for his role while his bribery probe was still ongoing:

Justice officials felt sure Homan would not be able to obtain a security clearance based on the evidence gathered. It remains unclear how Homan was eventually granted clearance.

President-elect Trump initially balked at submitting names of likely nominees to the FBI for background checks, a basic step intended to flag possible financial conflicts or ethical problems.
