In one spreadsheet: this is why we need to encourage young people to vote. The people watching this definitely do and can pretty much guarantee they vote blue.
Did Sky essentially just buy David Lomas?

What the actual fuck has a "what a housewife in Oxford is willing to pay" (so fn misogynistic btw) got to do with local prices? How about we start taxing the cunts properly, especially for the absolute damage they do to the roads, not just the slap on the wrist with a wet bus ticket like we do now?
"Fonterra especially should start just treating the more reliable (as in more consistent) local market using cost plus instead of market pricing.
For Fonterra brands it's easy for them to set retail pricing. For other local manufactures Fonterra could offer rebates for goods to local market."

But why do New Zealanders have to constantly pay above export market prices, often for what is lesser quality than that is exported?
Especially since the NZ Taxpayer disproportionally subsidises the infrastructure that is supporting meat + dairy production?

Penny drops: This is just typical RW self serving, cos Bish and Shitstain Brown are too impatient to sit in WEL airport traffic.
Sorry you had to wait 10 months for your cancer surgery – a politician needed to save 10 minutes getting to the airport.
$4 BILLION to save 'up to 10 minutes' during peak traffic. Fucking hell - imagine what that $4B could do for housing, education, health, etc, in Aotearoa.

Anyway fuck Rugby. It's cricket season. What about Dazza Mitchell? What a guy.

Anyone checked if he can play Rugby?
November 16, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Look. Razor has won a lot more Rugby titles than me. I've only managed 4 finals in 4 years with our rag tag bunch of lads, and lost 3 of those. But shit, I've not seen a less penetrating ABs side since the Randell days. Pods using pistons was the last straw for me yesterday. Knew we were fucked.

I think the world would be 100% better if people realized that subjective opinions are just that. Let other people like what they like. The tribalism and gate keeping around what people like is so dumb.

Except Mark Knopfler. He's objectively the best.

It's sad when you realise that a service you used to use and love has been bought by some big enterprise you really don't like. Many examples, but this message brought to you by Heroku

So I'm curious, have any media today asked the PM if he'd like to walk back the 'la la land' comments now that we've found out Tamatha Paul's concerns were completely valid? #nzpol
Media were so bloody quick to lap up the comments from older white men criticising a young non-white woman on this and yet oh look she had a totally valid point

But you won't have a mature conversation about
CGT
Emissions
Health
Education
3 waters
etc.

Fuck you, mate.

But can we? I'd much rather a brash fighter for people, than the limp high school prefect we have atm.
Can we replace hipkins with this guy?
Just leaving this here:

"YES. I AM A SOCIALIST AND I'M PROUD OF IT. YEAH-THERE YOU GO. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. BRING IT ON, AND I'M VERY PROUD TO SAY TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF THE WAIRARAPA THAT THEY ELECTED A PROUD SOCIALIST

Yet another example of current lot throwing out something that would have worked, with a more costly mess: www.rnz.co.nz/news/busines... because of *checks notes* racism.
Proposed government water reforms will cost ratepayers more - report
A report says it will undoubtedly see some councils facing continued downward pressure on their credit ratings.

I travel a lot. I'm between two centers commuting. Do you know what I've never thought in the last 6 months? Man this traveling would be solved with MOAR ROADS. Pretty much every journey I wish for either fast rail (so I wouldn't have to drive), or decent bulk rail to keep the trucks off the roads.

I think the left needs to reframe the CGT debate. Something like, "hey y'know this CGT thing - it'll only happen when you sell your holiday home, and it won't be much. It will mean that medical insurance you're now paying for, you won't need to, so overall it's a win"
October 28, 2025 at 6:14 PM
I'm with Stu. Just fn do it.
I say give it a go, what's the worst that can happen?
Has anyone else noticed that any proposed taxes on wealth are regularly derided as useless or unworkable yet those on meagre incomes are always advised that they could be so much better off if only they'd cancel their Sky subscriptions and stop eating avocados?

Watched a flight my 13yo was on, circle CHC airport a few times and head back to AUK last night during the storm. Never felt so powerless. Anyway, all safe and sound in AUK. Not sure how the parent helpers are going to entertain 11 13yos for a day. Glad it's them not me!
