Part of this is that it doesn't take a weatherman to tell you what way the wind's blowing, and part of this is that a big chunk of the rich folks on the right are starting to realize that a complete Trump flameout could truly bring about Woke 2: The Wokening.

I think Democrats should double down on trans rights now. It's obvious that most voters don't care about it so you might as well stick with your principles and goad Republicans into focusing on it at the expense of everything else so they're the ones who look like freaks.

I dunno about everyone else, but this admin feels significantly deflated now compared to the beginning of the month. The election & the big Epstein emails release I think had a lot to do w that, but its noticeable that they seem palpably weaker now &, imptly, most of them seem to grasp that.

Republicans seem to think that the norms created by the social contract are just sort of a immutable laws of nature and that therefore, tearing up the social contract will have no negative consequences for them, and I am, very much not looking forward to that thesis being tested

dates and persimmon are a good sweet treat. infuriates me when people are like "instead of a cookie, eat blueberries". most fruits have a FRUITY, ACIDIC taste and thus are no match to the sugary, non-sour taste of a cookie. but dates and persimmon are pure sweetness, so they're a great replacement.
