5/ Do they need their heads removed from their asses? Because I think a lot of people would volunteer to help with that.

Two choices here, senators. Sprout a spine, or be forever defined as a worthless penny waiting for change. END

I live in a red state with effectively zero representation in local, state or federal office. I depend on Dem elected officials in other states to stand up for all of us. This is a pathetic surrender and slap in the face to all of us who keep fighting and showing up to vote.

Democrats just swept the off-year elections -- and not just in blue states -- a resounding rejection of Republicans' authoritarian bullshit. It is an insult to Democratic voters, marketplace enrollees, and everyone who turned out on Tuesday for Schumer and Jeffries to cave.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

"And voters told us very clearly they want us to fight for them by electing Dems in historic fashion just 5 days ago." Hope killing incompetents.
“People are blaming republicans for food prices and flight cancellations and health insurance costs and are furious about gilded ballrooms and Gatsby parties and the president is falling asleep on tv and is the most deeply unpopular president in history, time to cave” is a hell of an argument

And the bigger problem is the worst kept secret in the world. TONS of countries have copied the US Constitution. States too. Bicameral legislatures, separation of powers. NONE included the "lets give all counties an equal voice regardless of population" structure of the Senate.

What Did Men Do to Deserve This?
Changes in the economy and in the culture seem to have hit them hard. Scott Galloway believes they need an “aspirational vision of masculinity.”

What happened, @nytimes.com? Why not stand by your original headline? Because it’s absolutely an accurate representation of this trash conversation.

To publish this at all should be a fireable offense - but to publish it as women’s rights are being decimated is deeply immoral, bordering on evil

I think the lesson here is that the sniveling little Nazis who orchestrated mass firings, kidnappings, and a historic government shutdown aren't popular.

Each crack in Trump’s facade of inevitability will lead to more. Let’s keep it up!

"You can't beat the mentality that leads to abuse by taking on the abuser's mentality. You can't defeat bad ideas by adopting them. You can't grow a coalition by selling out its members."
I wrote about why the regrettable conclusions of Ezra Klein pissed me off so badly in the last couple weeks.

On moral cowardice in an era that calls for clarity, and a popular political instinct to try to solve divisions of abuse by ignoring causes. www.the-reframe.com/eventually-y...
