Hi, I’ve been working on an approach to use clustering to find bright areas on phagosomes. It’s been going decent, but I’d be interested to to hear if anyone else has done something similar with a bit more success. #microscopy

I'm up to 75 responses. I would be very thankful if you fill this out 😀

Median time to take it is 2.6 minutes. I promise it only takes significantly longer if you would like to leave me a rant about efforts that are a waste of time. Those make me laugh, though
I'm writing a paper about marketing your shared resource (core) facility. We seek input on what people have tried and what did and didn't work.

If you work in a core facility and have tried to expand usership, please fill out this form. Only 9 questions!

Hey #chemsky and beyond, with all that is going on, I am curious what expensive, high margin molecules we could provide to the community for free. What things do you use all the time, cost way too much, and would make a difference? Alexa Fluor 488 NHS? Other dyes? Other molecule?

Of these, 97 received funding from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) (with some also receiving funding from other institutes).

97/174 = 56% while NIGMS typically receives 7% of NIH budget.

Self-generated gradients guide collective cell movement -but often different cell types must move together, e.g. in immune response.

We develop a theory of self-generated chemotaxis in mixed populations -are there optimal principles for this cooperation?🤔
