Found my doctors appointments got less frustrating once I started going in like “I really want to play badminton again 😢 but I can’t even push a cart around the grocery store 😢 and I’ve hit a wall where no matter what I do I can’t seem to increase my exercise capacity 😢 and it makes it hard to work”
The rationale behind these studies, Seltzer contests, is [that] “it presumes that the patient had never heard of exercise until a doctor told them [it] exists.”

Thanks to Simon Spichak for putting this idea into print. I've said multiple times in interviews that it's the strangest part... 🧵
“People who are performing these studies are extraordinarily ignorant, and their ignorance is dangerous,” said @exceedhergrasp1.bsky.social. She and other experts agree these trials are a waste of $$ and will not advance our biological understanding of Long COVID. thesicktimes.org/2025/11/21/l...

Just another way to say "feminists, homosexuals, and intellectuals."

The U.S. government is now inarguably spreading medical disinformation that is going to kill babies preferentially.

Period.

This is an INTOLERABLE. UNPRECEDENTED. DANGEROUS. ATTACK. ON ALL OF US.

So let me get this straight. The Dems were going to NOT censure Mills and then Nancy Mace of all people forced a censure resolution and then both Democrats and Republicans worked together to send this to the (toothless) Ethics Committee instead?
House punts Mills censure attempt to the Ethics Committee
Rep. Nancy Mace had tried to formally rebuke fellow GOP Rep. Cory Mills in a rare intraparty feud.

This is extremely bleak. US Senators are calling for the military to refuse illegal orders, but they aren't calling for the resignation or removal of the person giving those orders.
We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community.

The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.

Don’t give up the ship.

As an ex-Mormon, I am 0% surprised and 100% depressed by the "raping teen children isn't so bad" discourse.

Yes, there are different terms for crimes depending on victim age. No, it being common does not make it fine. No, a victim staying with their abuser does not help your case, etc.

Yes. Child sex abuse is endemic, it crosses every line of race, class, and culture, and it is widely tolerated and always has been. Do people not notice what their own family/community did with the “pervy” uncle/neighbor/friend? Because 99/100 times the family/community did nothing at all.

The context is cringe, but I can fluidly say that the land we stand on belongs to the yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini Northern Chumash Tribe, and I just landed on a land back project page while googling that spelling, so... maybe there's a pipeline there 🤷 the good kind that doesn't poison us with oil.
my wokest opinion is that land acknowledgements are fine. people knowing a little bit about the land you're on, even if one isn't invested in a land back project, is not particularly worse than the status quo, even if one comes by this info in a way that is somewhat cringe and forced
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Since everyone is rightly focused on the Epstein files, now would be a good time to remind you:

Child marriage is legal in 34 states across the US. That’s almost 70% of this nation.

How about we end that?

In 1999, a woman named Jessica Gonzales sought and obtained an order of protection against her physically abusive husband ("AH"), who had repeatedly threatened to kill her and their three children. The order included language specifically limiting when and where AH was allowed to see the children.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)

If people are wondering what more I want a party that holds a minority in both houses of Congress, it’s this.

It’s wielding power *outside* the halls of Congress.

Why aren’t Democrats organizing their donors to make food bank donations?

Why aren’t they organizing mass protest?
People judging how well our feckless members of congress are doing during this shutdown should consider that any time, they could start posting that millions must assemble on the national mall so they can demand the regime's removal and throw Trump in prison. It would probably happen.

I keep reading that Newsom "took a big risk" with Prop 50.

But I think if he really means business he should make it legal for us to pelt him with rotten food and TP his house if the Democrats get power but don't actually use it to stop the GOP.

Now that I would respect.

Like lol, was not expecting that twist at the end, but I like this energy.

Still annoyed that Trump has been using the military against peaceful civilians and disappearing people for a while now, yet most Dems are at most making videos about what has happened and pointing out that it's bad.

Like, dude, we know it's bad. You're a Senator. Do a leadership.

Well, not enforcement. Harassment.

[Toddler is watching Robots, the animated movie from 2005]

Husband: I never actually saw this movie.

Me: it's about a CEO denying people healthcare and leaving the poor to die for profit.

Husband: So it's a documentary.

I really am just working from the basic premise of political science that public opinion isn’t just measurable — you can and should CREATE it.
This never stops being true, but I’m not sure Ds have ever, at least in my lifetime, learned to apply it for good. *Creating* public opinion either never occurs to them, or if it does, offends their sensibilities? It’s exasperating
